Chateau de Léoube Sparkling NV
The Soil: A mixture of schist and clay characterize Château Léoube soils. The proximity of the sea, the daily sea breeze and cool nights are all factors that provide an ideal climate for growing grapes. A particular situation that contributes to making wine out of common.
The Blend: This surprising wine is mostly made of Cabernet Franc.
Vinification: Once harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the winery where they are pressed directly. The juice extraction is slow and delicate. The first fermentation takes place in tank, followed by a second fermentation in bottle. The Sparkling de Léoube is ready to be enjoyed after at least 9 months of lees ageing.
Tasting Notes: This sparkling wine provence has some delicate pale pink reflections. It offers delicate and fine bubbles. The palate is balanced with aromas of yellow fruit flesh and some freshness. At the end, we find the minerality typical of the wines of Léoube.
