Atanea is the name of the line of wines I make with my friend and partner Emeric in Casablanca Valley. We are in control of the whole process. From the manual, organic and biodynamic care in the vineyard to the natural wine-making process in the winery. We select our Pinot from the coolest parts of Casablanca Valley.
Fermented in 15.000 L steel tanks during 2 weeks with indigenous yeasts and strict
control on temperature.
Extraction with gentles pump-overs.
Slow and light pressing in 40HL pneumatic press.
Aged in steel tanks for 10 months.
No fining process, no filtration.
Natural wine. Only 20 mg/liter sulfites before bottling.
Brilliant ruby color core with medium intensity at the rim and on the glass. Aromas of raspberry, litchee and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, intense red fruit and red- berry flavors of strawberry, cherry, raspberry, hints of leather, black pepper and the very seductive minerality of flint stone from the terroir.
