Domaine de la Colliere “Les Touilleres” Rasteau 2014

Located in the former cave of the self-professed madman of Rasteau, André Roméro, Domaine la Collière was founded in 2002. The village of Rasteau became part of the Côtes du Rhône AOC in 1937, and in 1966, Rasteau’s dry wines became part of the Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation. Rasteau is now a Cru of the Southern Rhone Valley.
Blend: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, 5% Carignan
Hand picked, destemmed and fermented in stainless steel. Aged in cuve beton (concrete tanks) before bottling unfined and unfiltered.
Serve at 18°C to match red meat and game dishes and medium to strong cheeses.
Drink now but will develop further over next 2-5 years
