From a pastoral region most known for Sangiovese, the indigenous Canaiolo is most often known as a bit player in the Chianti and Chianti Classico blends. Winemaker Alessio Miliotti believes in cultivation going hand-in-hand with natures’ sustainable sources. The estate is an historic 17th-century farm with a long winemaking history. Today, wines are matured in the same cellar as that of three centuries ago.

Winemaking details:

  • 100% Canaiolo
  • Organic farming
  • Soils: medium sandy soils with occasional gravel
  • Native yeast fermentation in stainless steel, followed by 8 months aging in tank and bottle

Tasting Notes: Intense aromatic red berry aromas, cranberry and light notes of anise, with flavors of blended small red fruit and black pepper. Smooth and light.
